Donald Trump: An Advocate for Women? Let’s Examine the Facts

Writer's picture: The ElephantThe Elephant

When it comes to women’s issues, the media has tirelessly painted Donald Trump as a misogynist, constantly pushing a narrative that he “hates women.” But in the whirlwind of sound bites and sensational headlines, have we lost sight of the facts? The media’s job is to inform the public, not to distort the truth. So, let’s set the record straight on two of the most hotly debated topics concerning Trump’s position on women: abortion and the protection of womanhood.

Abortion: Separating Fact from Fiction

The first issue the media jumps on is abortion. Democrats want you to believe that Trump is plotting to criminalize abortion at the federal level if re-elected. But here’s what they often omit: Donald Trump has already played a pivotal role in shaping the future of abortion laws, and the direction they’ve taken is far less about federal overreach than the media would have you believe.

In 2020, Trump’s nomination of three Supreme Court justices contributed to the overturning of Roe v. Wade. This monumental decision didn’t ban abortion; it simply returned the power to regulate abortion to the states. So, what does this mean? It means that Trump, if re-elected, will have even less influence over the issue of abortion than he did while in office. The power now lies with state governments—not with Trump or any future president.

But there’s a deeper question here: what’s better for women—a federal government dictating a one-size-fits-all approach, or 50 state governments offering a more representative approach to the complex issue of abortion? States now have the autonomy to reflect the values and beliefs of their citizens. Trump’s actions, far from being an attack on women, empowered local communities to make decisions for themselves. Isn’t that the essence of democracy and respect for women's rights?

The Tragic Cost of Abortion: Lives Never Lived

There’s another aspect to the abortion debate that gets overlooked far too often. In 2023 alone, over one million abortions were performed in the United States. This staggering number represents hundreds of thousands of girlsfuture women—who never had the chance to breathe their first breath, let alone exercise any control over their own bodies. Each year, abortion ends the potential lives of countless young women who will never have the opportunity to grow, to thrive, and to live out their dreams.

While the Democratic Party insists that “every woman should have control over her own body,” this statement glosses over the reality that abortion impacts two bodies—both the mother and the child. What about the reproductive freedom of the unborn girls who are never given the chance to make choices about their own lives? Their stories are cut short before they can even begin.

“Back-Alley” Abortions

A common Democratic talking point is that restricting abortion will lead to dangerous back-alley procedures and the deaths of thousands of women. But the facts don’t support this alarmist narrative. Take Poland, for example, a country with strict abortion laws. Despite these laws, Poland has not experienced an epidemic of dangerous, unsanitary abortions. In fact, abortions are still performed by trained medical professionals using proper equipment.

And let’s not forget—legal abortions still result in fatalities. Just because a procedure is legal doesn’t make it without risk. But what is often ignored in this conversation is the life that is ended in each abortion—the life of an unborn child, often a girl who never gets the chance to exercise control over her own body. When we talk about reproductive rights, we must consider both the mother and the child.

Respecting and Honoring Womanhood

Another controversial issue where Trump has been unapologetically clear is his stance on the integrity of womanhood. In a time when the definition of “woman” is being stretched to include biological men who identify as female, Trump stands firm in defending the idea that womanhood cannot be fabricated.

Trump’s policy on banning biological men from women’s sports, locker rooms, and bathrooms isn’t about hate—it’s about fairness and safety for women. How is it empowering to allow men to compete against women in sports, potentially taking away scholarships and opportunities? How is it respectful to permit men to undress in women’s locker rooms or invade women’s safe spaces?

Let’s ask the obvious question: Which candidate truly respects women’s rights—Donald Trump, who believes in preserving the sanctity of womanhood, or Kamala Harris, whose policies erase the distinctions that make women unique? You decide.

Trump’s Legacy of Advocacy for Women

Despite the media’s relentless efforts to label Trump as a misogynist, his record tells a much different story. Whether it's empowering states to decide on the issue of abortion or protecting the integrity of women's spaces, Trump’s policies have shown a consistent respect for women’s autonomy, safety, and rights.

The Democratic Party might shout about "reproductive freedom" and inclusivity, but when you dig deeper, their policies often undermine the very women they claim to champion. Abortion on demand doesn’t just affect one body—it impacts two. And erasing the biological differences between men and women undercuts the progress women have made in the fight for equality.

So, next time the media tries to sell you the narrative that Donald Trump is a “woman-hater,” remember the facts. Trump’s actions show that he doesn’t just advocate for women—he fights for their safety, dignity, and rights in a way that the Democrats’ shallow slogans simply can’t.

Donald Trump is not just a president for just one gender . . . race. . . religion. . . He’s a president for everyone!
