A Vote Cast in Hope, Left in God’s Hands

Writer's picture: The ElephantThe Elephant

As the dawn of Election Day approaches, I’ve found myself reflecting on what this moment truly means—not just for myself, but for my family, my community, and this country I hold so dear. Voting this year was not just a civic duty; it was an act of hope, an expression of my love for America, and a prayer for the future I want to see for those I love.

In casting my vote, I made a choice grounded in my principles and my beliefs. Yes, I’ve cast my ballot for Donald Trump, hoping for a leader who aligns with my vision for this nation. But tonight, as I look ahead to tomorrow, I know that my trust does not rest on any one person or outcome. Instead, my heart rests with God, who knows all things, and I trust His will, no matter what unfolds.

We are a nation tested by division, burdened by mistrust, and straining under the weight of polarized views. And yet, I hold on to the hope that peace and unity can prevail, that no election result can define our lives or our shared dreams. My prayer is that we move forward with grace and with the resolve to rebuild, to heal, and to remember that America’s strength is found in unity, not division.

Regardless of who stands victorious when all is said and done, my faith remains steadfast. I leave this election in God’s hands, and I am prepared to embrace the outcome with the peace that comes from trust. Together, may we work toward a united nation, where love of country transcends political lines and where we all find hope for the days ahead.

Psalms 62: 5-8

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge.
